A metal roof offers certain valuable qualities that cannot be duplicated by the other types of roofs. The first thing is that the average life of a metal roof is anywhere from 2 to 3 times longer than that of any other type of material. Secondly, this type of roof is actually very quiet and will silence the noise from many different types of weather. Last, it can be manufactured to look like almost any other roofing material in regards to color, style or finish.

Metal roofs can be separated into 3 categories: Exposed Fastener Panels (screws not hidden); Concealed Fastener Panels (screws are hidden); and Metal Shingles and Tiles.
